Title: Apple and Pear
This is an original food fruit still life oil painting by artist Christopher Clark. Ripe juicy fruit is one of my vices, I can’t get enough of it. And sometimes they also make lovely paintings if the subjects are well-chosen and placed in some interesting light. Very shortly after this painting was done, I admit my delicious apple and pear subjects did not last long, since painting makes me hungry.
This is another oil painting in which I did all the strokes in the same direction – doing diagonally from left to right. In this case, it gave the painting a strangely photographic feeling, while keeping the painterly effect of the brushtrokes.
Medium: Oil paint on stretched canvas. Sides painted black, ready to hang as-is.
I am available for custom commission paintings of all kinds.
